Whole Body Hyperthermia

Far Infrared (FIR)

A large portion of the sun’s energy is in the invisible part of the spectrum and infrared light (or infrared energy) is one of these, and is used in many health care technologies. Far infrared Therapy is a low energy therapy where waves of light penetrate the body, transforming into heat energy to gently elevate infrared temperature and activate major bodily functions such as our skin, muscle, tendons and ligaments, helping to improve circulation, reduce pain and inflammation associated with many conditions. FIR can also energise our water molecules; an action that can promote growth and cell regeneration.

Carbonic Acid (CO2)

Carbonic acid helps to open your pores, and penetrates effortlessly into the skin and bloodstream, dilating blood vessels and increasing circulation. It is one of the few compounds that can increase the uptake and delivery of oxygen at the cellular level working to calm and balance your autonomic nervous system and providing an anti-inflammatory effect as well as Pain relief. It also has the ability to dissolve fat and is widely used in the beauty industry to promote skin health and rejuvenation.

Aromatherapy

Essential oils derived from natural plant extracts, have been used in holistic healing practices for millennia. Specific aromatic essential oils are tailored for specific preference or health needs, to balance, harmonise and promote the well-being of both the mind and body. Studies have shown a positive response to the transdermal absorption method of oil delivery. The results are conducive to an increase in sleep quality, the lowering of blood pressure and a reduction in toxicity, by way of reducing anxiety levels and stress. Bergamot, Chamomile and Lavender can be added for relaxation and stress relief, while Frankensense has anti-inflammatory and immune boosting properties.

FSM Frequency Specific MIcrocurrents

Electrotherapy is one of the most widely researched and published modalities in the world. It is a non invasive solution and successful adjuvant to many ailments, using low level electrical currents that can be delivered to certain parts of the body. Offering support with pain, including muscular and nerve, tissue repair or general inflammation and detoxification. Specific electrical impulses that are tuned to reverberate at the frequency that matches resonance that will produce the desired results. Other frequencies can be tuned to target specific pathogens, viral agents, fungi and bacteria.

Whole Body Hyperthermia

Hyperthermia therapy artificially induces fever and provides the body with all the same healing effects as a natural fever. Hyperthermia is one of the modalities within the HOCATT™ and is provided by the steam sauna, which mimics a fever state, resulting in an effective natural process of detoxifying and stimulating the healing process. Then in conjunction with the other modality within the HOCATT™, which is the Far Infrared Ray (FIR), raises the body temperature at a deeper level. Ultilising both these modalities to raise body temperature safely and effectively, which can result in the destruction of pathogens. In addition the heavy sweating caused by the heat and the cleansing effect initiated by the ozone will result in the elimination of toxins, mainly accumulated in the lymphatic system. It also helps to eliminate lactic acid and facilitates faster recovery after exercise.

Ozone Technology

Ozone is oxygen with 3 atoms (O3) and it has been used in medicine since the 19th centuary in many various forms. In the HOCATT™, ozone plays a major role in the beneficial effects of the sauna. When it diffuses into the skin it works like a free radical scavenger donating its 3rd atom of oxygen to any free radical material in the body. Whether it be a diseased cell, virus, harmful bacteria, or any other pathogen, which carry an unbalanced charge. It only targets diseased cells and pathogens, while oxygenating the body, where healthy cells can thrive, thus helping to reduce pain and inflammation, improve circulation and support immunity.

EWOT (Exercise with Oxygen Therapy)

EWOT is the inhalation of medical grade oxygen and is a passive form of exercise, helping you to burn up to 600 calories per session! By breathing in pure oxygen you are increasing the level of oxygen in your body’s cells and tissues, which will in turn boost metabolism and helps to improve your physical endurance. Other benefits of the EWOT include improved concentration and immune system function, while it also can encourage relaxation and regeneration, giving you better sleep and reduces stress.

Photon Lights

In recent years the application of low-level light therapy has become very popular. Different body tissues absorb energy from different wavelengths of light energy photon light therapy has a shorter wavelength and doesn’t penetrate as deeply. When photon light is absorbed by the body, it creates a chemical reaction that supports healthy skin. Different colour lights evoke different health benefits, such as green is for the relief of headaches,ulcers, colds and flu, Red stimulates circulation and increases energy, while blue fights infection and inflammation, and is good for cuts and burns. While yellow enhances mental concentration and aids digestion and liver function. Photon light therapy may also be beneficial in a variety of skin conditions including- scaring, wrinkles and age spots, sun damage and other inflammatory skin conditions.

Ultraviolet Irradiation

When the unstable ozone (O3) molecule splits apart, and interacts with the steam inside the HOCATT™, ultraviolet irradiation is formed. This irradiation affects the epidermis and deeper layers of the skin, that promotes the production of protective substances, hormones and vitamins, with the additional ability to neutralise bacteria. Also, radio frequencies and low-frequency ultrasonic waves form bubbles around fat deposits under the skin that burst, breaking the fat deposits into the interstitial and the lymphatic systems where they are drained. The fat deposits are changed into glycerol and free fatty acids. Glycerol is then reused by the body while free fatty acids travel to the liver and are excreted as waste.

Steam Sauna

Steam rooms have been used since Roman times and are a popular modality even today. Sitting in the HOCATT™ chamber acts like a sauna and adds warmth and moister to your skin. Sitting in a steam sauna will help you relax your mind and body, but moist heat therapy can also have a multitude of other health benefits. It opens your pores and cleanses your skin, loosening any dirt and debris buildup, which can help improve your skins appearance. The heat can dilate, or enlarge, your blood vessels, which may help to lower blood pressure and improve circulation. It can also loosen up you joints and relieve stiffness, by allowing more blood, nutrients and oxygen to be delivered to any injured site, which makes this therapy perfect for post workouts or a hard days work. One long-term study of nearly 2,300 men published in Annals of Medicine reported that frequent sauna usage was independently associated with reduced mortality risk.
